Thank you to the family of Coach Kermit Vickers for the generous donation to our Junior High Basketball Program. The Vickers family made a $4500 donation from money raised at the annual Kermit Vickers Car Show.


It is time for Archery Season! An informational meeting for those interested will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at 6pm with sign-ups to follow. This is for grades 4-12. An additional sign-up will take place on Thursday, October 26th from 6-8pm.

Adena Mobile Unit will be on campus tomorrow, October 3rd. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment for your child, you can call 740-672-1646 to schedule an appointment. Some of the services offered include:
∙ Childhood immunizations
∙ Episodic care (sore throat, bad cough, earache, headache, etc.)
Parents must fill out a consent form and are contacted prior to the appointment. Parents have three options of participating in the appointment:
1. Come to the school and attend the appointment with your child
2. Participate in the appointment via phone
3. Allow your child on their own to be seen by health provider

HHS 2014 graduate Carissa Mitchell shared her educational experience and how she achieved her goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. She currently works at the Adena Cancer Center. Rikki Magill, his cousin, and Riley Black, his sister, are the coaches for Waverly and we thought it seemed fitting to honor him and do what we could to help.

Huntington Local Schools were instructed by the Ross County Sherrif Department to go into a non-emergency lockdown while they investigated a package that was left at a nearby business. It has been lifted and all is clear. Great job to the students and staff for seamlessly transitioning into the lockdown.

Boys Basketball Clinic!
On Sunday, September 10th, there will be a free basketball clinic for boys in grades 3, 4, and 5. It will be held in Huntington’s high school gymnasium from 4:00-5:30.
