Huntington's Ohio State Leadership Collaborative group dove into research today virtually. Today they learned how to set up detailed surveys and interviews to collect data. 💚Gogreen And we also met the Grinch!



Huntington Local Schools will be dismissing 2 hours early on Friday, December 15th for Christmas Break. School will resume January 3, 2024.


Congratulations to the Huntington Quiz Bowl Team! It was an exciting day for our competitors - beating ZT who has not lost a match in 2 years earlier in the day and going on to finish 2nd overall in the tournament in a close final sudden death match against Zane Trace. We are extremely proud of you all!

Huntington’s Think21 program held their annual Shadow Day. Think21 middle school students were paired with a high school mentor, and they participated in high school classes while following their mentor’s schedule. Students were able to vote on their favorite class at the end of the day. The winners were Senora and Mr. Vickers. The teacher prizes were donated by local businesses: Mill City and Wheatberry Books.

Congratulations to senior Natalie Hall and junior Jackson Kohls on performing at the Ohio University Honor Band this weekend. In just 3 short days, Natalie and Jackson joined 200 students from over 50 high schools, worked with OU music faculty, learned very challenging music and put on a fantastic performance!

Huntington Local School District's musically gifted students visited The Ohio Sate University's Music Celebration Youth Concert. It was an amazing musical experience where students were exposed to several different ensembles and types of instruments. We also visited Stanton's to pick out sheet music to practice.











School resumes tomorrow and with it comes some frigid temperatures. Just a reminder to bundle up those kids to stay warm while waiting on the bus. We can't wait to see our students!

Huntington Local Schools will have a 2 hour early release tomorrow, November 21st. There is no school Wednesday, November 22nd through Monday, November 27th. School resumes Tuesday, November 28th. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!


Huntington Local School District's gifted art students grades 4-12 visited The Columbus Museum of Art today. Students were able to view impressionistic art pieces by Monet and participate in hands on activities using mixed media.

The Junior Class at Huntington High School will be hosting their Annual Christmas In The Hills Vendor Event on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Huntington High School from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the front lobby of the High School Gym.
The cost for a 10 X 10 area is $25.00.
We will not duplicate any vendor so each vendor will have an opportunity to have a successful evening in sales. You are responsible to provide your own tables and chairs for your area. You are welcome to start setting up at 5 pm that day in the Lobby.
