HS students honored at Board Meeting

Huntington Local School Board honored three High School Students at their January meeting for outstanding leadership and for representing Huntington High School at a national conference.  Macy Steele, Jackson Kohls, and Kendahl Pollock presented at the NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English) conference in November at the Columbus Convention Center.  They presented to an audience of teachers from across the country.  They discussed how they use science and literature hand-in-hand.   Macy presented on phenology journaling and preserving flowers in her journals, Kendahl presented on her mobile bus business Evergreen Thrift.   Jackson presented on our school district's recycling program and upcoming Earth Day events.  Students were joined by Rural Action in Athens and students with similar interests from Jackson City Schools.
