Dirk Fogelson

Ag Education

Hello, my name is Dirk Foglesong and I teach middle school Ag.  I have been teaching since 2010, all here at Huntington.  I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a chemical engineering degree and then earned my teaching certificate through Marietta College.  One fun fact, I have run a marathon, but that was a long time ago.

My favorite thing I get to do at school is working with the students to expand our ag program.  What started out with a raised bed garden has expanded to include a berry patch, fruit trees and animals (chickens, rabbits, pigs, and bees).  I can't wait to see what this next year will bring us.

I can be reached at Dirk.Foglesong@Huntsmen.org with any questions you might have.  GO GREEN!!!

Chad Barrows

STEAM

Hi! My name is Chad Barrows. I teach STEAM in the middle school Smartlab. This is my 24th year in education. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Florida Atlantic University and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership emphasizing Career and Technical Education from Bowling Green University. I absolutely love working with students in the Smartlab. We have so many cool gadgets, apps, and kits. It's also just incorporates a great philosophy of learning. Students choose the skills they want to explore and are free to learn independently. It's a great atmosphere with very positive educational gains for so many students!

In my free time I love being with my wife, watching my daughter play volleyball and continue to grow as an athlete and a human being. I also enjoy spending time with my three Belgian Malinois and Great Pyrennees dogs. I'm really excited to get back into the lab and continue to get a deeper understanding of all of the tools we have at our disposal, alongside our students!

Families can contact me via email at Chad.Barrows@Huntsmen.org
