3. ATTENTION PARENTS: We have had a change in the ATTENDANCE POLICY. Previously when a student was absent (and we had not received a call from the parents to let us know they would not be attending), the automated calls go out at 10:00 to alert parents their child is not in school. Our district has decided the time lapse of knowing a student is absent and not alerting the parents until 10:00 was too long of a time gap. For that reason, teachers must now have absentees turned in to the office by 8:00. We will need parents to call by 8:00 to let us know their child will be staying home. What is in place in the computer at 8:05 is the data that will generate the automated calls that will now go out at 8:30. Please bear with us as we try to get on this new schedule and get everyone acclimated to the changes.
