Dear Parents,

Due to COVID-19, our district has been forced to move to a distance learning model.  This document is to provide a framework and guidance as we complete the 2019-2020 school year.  Each student in the elementary will be receiving a paper packet of educational activities. Please keep this packet until we have further information on our return to school date.  If your child has internet access, they can also login to the programs listed below to keep their skills sharpened and ready.

Expectations

Huntington Local School District Admin Team has determined that the expectation for work be 3 activities per subject per week.   The focus is on the critical standards needed for the content area. Recommended guidelines for MAXIMUM elementary student commitment each day are as follows:

• Grades K-1: 45 minutes

• Grades 2-3: 60 minutes

• Grades 4: 90 minutes

Online Programs Available - Optional

Our students are familiar with many online programs that we use here at school.  Below you will find a list for each grade level. If you have difficulties logging into the websites, please reach out to your teacher via email or call the school and leave a message.

Programs per grade level:

• Grade K: Waterford Reading & Waterford Math

• Grade 1: Waterford Reading & Waterford Math, Razkids

• Grades 2-3: Razkids, Think Central, Reflex Math

• Grades 4: Razkids, Think Central, Reflex Math, Google Classroom

It is the hope of our teachers and administration that during this time your family is safe, secure and taking time to enjoy each other.  While learning is very important, our priority at Huntington Elementary is always the well-being of our students.
